Our Flowers - Brittany Cortez

Below are some of the of the precious people we have had the privilege to get to know better.

Today was our last day of HBOT and Brittany’s 13th birthday as well. Once again, she tolerated the dives really well and ate like there was no tomorrow. The staff really spoiled her for her birthday too, giving her a gift bag full of markers, pens, paper, stampers, stickers, and who knows what else. She’ll have fun with all of it – maybe I can get her to make them a picture with her new art supplies.

I can’t believe we’re all finished with treatment. It’s going to feel strange not having to get up early to drive out to Wauseon. Instead, we’ll be off to riding camp this week, thanks to Nana’s birthday present of therapeutic riding camp at Vail Meadows.

We still haven’t seen any seizures since Wednesday and are hoping that this lasts. Britt’s appetite is still strong and, besides acting like a typical hormonal teen, her disposition had been great – others are starting to notice as well. Thanks to Sara’s Garden for facilitating these wonderful improvements.
