Below are some of the of the precious people we have had the privilege to get to know better.
Landon was in a car accident on October 17, 2004. He had a collapsed lung, nine broken ribs and a traumatic brain injury. He was in a coma for about seven weeks. Landon spent the next six months in ICU, a nursing home and a rehab facility. He has mad great progress and has totally amazed his doctors, but he still has a long road ahead of him. He has been receiving OT, PT and Speech and in September, Landon received hyperbaric treatments. We did notice several changes in him. Landon is expressing himself better and asking more questions, has an increased attention span and is less frustrated when he's doing his homework. Unfortunately, the brain takes a very long time to heal, but you must never give up. Be sure to always encourage, stimulate and even push (a little) your family member to get better. Be patient, never lose hope and PRAY... LOTS! |
